Sculpted shoulders and arms are must-have accessories for spring and especially summer. Unfortunately many of us including me don’t have a trim upper body. Even when I am at my ideal weight, I still have the upper arm jiggle. Upper arms are a storage site for fat for women, and even the thinnest woman who doesn’t seem to have an inch of spare fat anywhere on her body will have upper arms that jiggle. With proper exercise and eating foods that will burn fat we can trim those upper arms.


The reason that most of us have flabby upper arms is because they don’t get worked out at all during our regular routine. Here’s how you can get your upper arms in shape:


Start doing some form of aerobic activity like walking or jogging. Learn how to do hip thrusts and get your large body parts moving! Just exercising your arms will not really accomplish much, unless it is combined with aerobic activity. Aerobic activities help you burn fat from all over, and at a much faster rate than spot exercises do. Thus, it’s best to combine a spot reduction activity which targets the muscles in your upper arm, with an aerobic exercise.

Strength Train

Invest in a  good pair of dumbbells. Working with light weights won’t increase the size of your biceps and triceps. It will, however, convert the fat into muscle. Muscle helps you lose fat even when you are not working out, so you will be burning those calories while sleeping. I have 3lb weights, I suggest starting low and then slowly increasing. Perform 15 to 20 reps of each exercise. Do two or three sets three times a week. If you want to improve your sexual function then you might have considered Kegels exercises. Reducing your overall body fat percentage will help too. The weight training exercises can help build metabolically active muscle mass. Spread your meals out over the day to boost your metabolism and keep yourself satisfied.
