Best Jewelry Cleaning Options

I have struggled to keep my jewelry clean, especially with applying beauty care products. I have gotten better about taking off my jewelry at night and not putting  it back on until  I am done with my morning routine. I have tried several methods of cleaning Jewelry and would like to share my personal experience.

Ultrasonic- You will get great results but use extreme caution as this type of cleaning may loosen your precious gems. if you have jewelry that is under warranty if may be a great option for you because if a stone get lost of loosened you are covered. Ultrasonic cleaning is what most jewelers use. If you decide to go with an ultrasonic cleaner always check reviews as not all are created equal.

solution based- They often smell toxic. I have always used solution based cleaners but I was never quite impressed until I tried Grandma’s Secret Jewelry Cleaner. I was shopping online at Walmart and searching for a new cleaner because I was no dissatisfied with all the ones I had tried thus far and Grandma’s had excellent ratings not just on Walmart.com but on Amazon as well. So I gave it a shot and I loved it. It’s gentle and it doesn’t have that toxic smell. *Tip use an old old tooth brush when cleaning your jewelry it will add to the wow factor.

Good old fashion dish soap and water
make a solution with warm water (almost hot) and dish washing soap. Soak your ring for about 20 to 40 minutes, gently brush the stone with a very soft toothbrush, and then rinse under warm running water. If needed, repeat. Many “certified gemologist” swear by this. To be it’s a close 2nd to Grandma’s Secret and I use it when I run out of it. Also I recommend using Dawn dish soap as it’s gentle enough to be used on animals.

Going to the Fine Jewelry stores

Hey I am guilty as charged. I will go have my jewelry cleaned by professionals whenever I am at mall, what could be better then window shopping for new jewelry and getting my gems looking like brand new.
