What do you know about the HCG?

First let me start off by telling you what HCG is. HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin and it’s a hormone the body makes during pregnancy. When you take a pregnancy test; if the hormone is detected,congratulations you are prego! I always thought when I got pregnant that I would start gaining weight like crazy but that wasn’t the case. It did feel pain at times, but you can see website and find out how I curbed it. Back in July of 2012 I started losing weight without trying, by the end of July my period was late so that prompted me to take a test even though I was on the pill. It was + positive. I was surprised and excited. I looked up the chance of miscarriage after 5 weeks because I have been so worried about losing this baby. By the end of August I was about 14 lbs lighter then what I was in the beginning of July without any diet modifications or exercise. I actually didn’t gain any weight until I was at about 20 weeks and I ended gaining 24 lbs throughout my whole pregnancy. I quickly lost the weight after the baby but once I stopped breast feeding I gained 10 lbs back. Ouch!

I keep hearing about this HCG Diet and wonder if it will work for me. A few months ago I visited by cousin who also had a baby around the same time as me and she looked great she told me she lost 45 lbs in just 2 months by following the HCG diet, so that got me thinking. It helped me lose weight at the beginning of my pregnancy could it work again?

Here is the break down of how the HCG Diet works:
1) The HCG diet limits you to 500-800 calories a day for  23 or 46 days while taking hCG, either by getting a shot or by taking a “homeopathic” product, such as oral drops, pellets, or sprays, which you can buy at the store.

2) Many claim 1-2 lb daily weight loss.

3) You only eat 2 meals day; lunch and dinner. You can have black coffee or plain tea for breakfast. Many report, HCG reduces feelings of hunger. This allows them to eat very little comfortably. Why? It is believed the presence of HCG in the bloodstream takes the appetite away.

4) This is what lunch and dinner look like:

The first two days of hCG  are known as loading phase. During this time you can eat anything and everything.There are no food restrictions during the first two days of the diet.
