Domino Light is the latest new great product from Domino sugar. I’ve baked with sugar substitutes in the past and it wasn’t tasty, they were sweet but had a weird aftertaste. To add they just don’t bake the same way as normal sugar. I was sent the new Domino Light blend made with all natural sugar and stevia to review. I was excited to put it to the test! Domino Light: Sugar & Stevia Blend is a great new product from Domino Sugar. It is a blend of pure cane sugar, extract from the stevia plant and a natural flavoring. It contains half the calories of regular sugar with the same sweet taste. Best of all, it doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients and does not have a weird aftertaste.
I made brownies and substituted Domino Light for sugar in the recipe. Doesn’t the brownies look delicious, well they were! Here is the family recipe I followed:
- Butter, for greasing the pan
- Flour, for dusting the buttered pan
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar, I used the Dominoes Light
- 7 ounces melted butter
- 1/4 cups cocoa
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup flour
I’m glad to have found a new way to make brownies with fewer calories, but with the same great taste. I have confidence in baking with the new Domino Light! I think Domino Light is a great alternative sweetener. Want to learn more about Domino Light Sugar and Stevia Blend? Head over to the Domino Sugar Facebook Page fore more information.
